A beaten man?

Inspired by comments from Rich at CCN about how optimistic he felt at the beginning of the season and how saddened he is now I thought it would be interesting to compare and contrast the body language of Lawrie Sanchez when he was first appointed...and how he is now.Is it just me or does he seem like a man defeated? See here for his first press conference back in April and here for his chat with Fulham PR Sarah Brookes last week and judge for yourselves.

Great minds... I did something like this a while back, but changed my theme in the process of writing it.

But yes, that's exactly it isn't it? He's gone from being confident, bullish, a leader, to being quiet, almost apologetic.

He has. To be honest it upset me a bit watching them both. While i wasn't thrilled at his appointment, his bullish attitude made me feel very positive at the time. Now? well, suffice to say that's all gone...

Rob, I made a comment about this a few days ago. Really, he looks like a broken man right now. It's actually a bit sad. As much malice and venom as there seems to be for the man, you would think that Sanchez is trying to destroy the team which of course is ridiculous. Maybe this is part of the what Rich was trying to say a week ago or so. Maybe the man's "best" isn't good enough. But yes, look at photos of him lately compared to ones earlier in the season.

Managing in the prem is not for the feint of heart. It will eat you up and spit you out. Some of it is fate but mostly good people skills.
