Thoroughly depressing...

Yep, we've done it again....proved that, for us at least, holding on to a lead is as difficult as juggling three eels dipped in grease...Time and time again we fall apart in the last 10 minutes or so of a match - just what is going on?

It's all very well Lawrie getting shirty with the TV interviewer when he has the temerity to point this out but saying (and I paraphrase here) 'England let a lead slip and they're a national side so don't have a go at us' is absolutely ridiculous.

To be honest I'm too annoyed to post rationally yet...I shall review the highlights recorded and try to draw some positives to accompany the many negatives witnessed at the Cottage yesterday but it's going to be a tough job.

Hey Rob, kick back and relax a bit. Two points lost? One point gained? Half empty? Half full?

I'm just glad we didn't play the whole 90 the way we played the first 40. It was all I could do to stay awake.

I'd really like to see the Big Finn start next to Healy at home some time soon. When/if Macca comes back, I think that BMB/DH is our best strike pair with a midfield of Davies, Bullard, Smertin, and Dempsey.

The back four seems to be rounding into form, so I think we're getting better -- which is all we really have the realistic hope of obtaining.

COYW, pard!

Yeah, probably being too down about it. Totally agree with you ref Kuqi and Healy - ironically that was the pairing i thought sanchez would start with yesterday and i was disappointed to see them both on the bench. On a positive note, it was great to see Konchesky back...

I agree, not the worst result against a very good Blackburn.

I was glad to see Konchesky back also. But he really looked like he hadn't see action for a while. One on one he's the best defender we have. But yesterday, he really got caught several times ball watching and misreading his teammates as to who was covering who. Hopefully by next week he will look a bit better. But I didn't actually think he had that great of a game.

agree about Konch, Brian, he looked rusty didn't he? Still, as you say, hopefully he'll be back at full speed next week.
