Zat Knight scores on his debut for Aston Villa and Papa Bouba Diop has just been named Barclays Man of the Match for his performance in Portsmouth's 0-0 home draw with Liverpool!!! Shame he didn't show those kind of skills on a more regular basis while he was wearing a white shirt.
...Interestingly, Harry Redknapp has just been interviewed by Geoff Shreeves on Sky and said that he'd spoken to Chris Coleman recently and Cookie had told him that Diop would be the first player he'd sign if he came back to England.

Really, I don't think it so unusual for a player who leaves a club to have a big game his first time out of the gates. He wants to impress and is probably highly motivated to show everyone what's he's about. Let's check back in with these folks after a half dozen more games and then see how their doing.
Very good point Brian. In fact your comments came to mind when I was watching the highlights of the Villa match and saw Zat caught napping...an all too familiar sight!
